Treatment method for slight reflection crack of glass fiber geogrid on asphalt pavement

When the semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is damaged by slight reflection cracks, the semi-rigid base must be grouted to prevent the cracks from expanding further. Surface cracking of mild reflective cracks has little effect on driving safety and comfort. For economic reasons, the surface layer of the glass fiber geogrid can be repaired without slotting, but the cracks must be sealed with water.

The grouting material used in polymer grouting is a new type of non-aqueous reaction insensitive closed-cell polymer [C37. Compared with traditional cement grouting, the advantages of polymer grouting to treat damaged semi-rigid bases are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1} The high polymer grouting is used for quick construction, the grouting part does not need to be kept for a long time, and the strength of the grout can reach 90% after 15 minutes of injection.

2) The high polymer material has good expansion, and the glass fiber geogrid can fill the void, crack and loose area by itself, and has the effect of compacting and compacting the loose material;

3) The high polymer grouting material has good tensile and compressive strength, strong toughness, excellent waterproof performance and good durability [[5. The technical indicators of polymer grouting materials are shown in Table 1.

Semi-rigid base asphalt pavement light reflection cracks are sealed by self-adhesive fiberglass geogrid. The self-adhesive fiberglass geogrid has high bonding strength and good flexibility. It does not need to be heated when pasting, and the protective surface can be directly pasted. , Easy construction. Cooperating with polymer grouting to treat light reflection cracks, it has the advantages of fast construction speed, good treatment effect, small traffic impact, and cost saving.

The main construction steps of using polymer grouting and self-adhesive jointed glass fiber geogrid to treat mild reflective cracks on semi-rigid base asphalt pavement are as follows:

1) 3 rows of holes are arranged along the left and right sides of the seam 50 cm apart from the seam, and the horizontal hole spacing is 100 cm. The drilled hole penetrates the base layer, and the hole depth is generally not less than 80 cm 

2) Inject polymer hole by hole according to the order of road surface elevation from low to high (see Table 1 for its technical indicators) to remove free water in the base layer and asphalt surface layer, fill the gaps in the base layer, and close the water seepage channel and water space.  

3) After cleaning up the discharged sewage, residue, original joint material and loose particles, blow the joint wall with high pressure air.

4) After the joint wall is dry, pour high elastic modified asphalt.

5) Paste 4 cm wide and 3 mm thick self-adhesive sewing tape along the seam.
